What you will learn
– An understanding of why critical reflection is important and how to embed it in practice
– To identify and articulate critical reflection practices, including how they impact and inform decision-making
– To analyse, critique and improve the effectiveness of your own critical reflection practices.
All about this course
This course contains 2 modules and takes a little under 1.5 hours to complete. It is self-paced so you can pause and resume in your own time.
The first module covers:
• Understanding why critical reflection is important, including what is required under learning, legislative and quality frameworks.
The second module covers:
• The how of critical reflection including unpacking an example drawing on learning frameworks, professional standards and ethics. This module also steps learners through the process of critical reflection stemming from a range of situations.
This course also includes the following handouts:

2. ‘How to’ critical reflection guide
3. Critical reflection annotated samples
4. Critical reflection provocations
5. Critical reflection resources handout.
